10 December, 2019To be a Nurse at Up Clinic
Being a nurse at Up Clinic is a privilege. It is not a privilege just to work in fantastic conditions, with excellent colleagues, in a unique environment. It is not a privilege just because we have varied roles that we enjoy and perform. No, it’s for all this and much more. It is also a privilege to have magnificent clients who trust us, who value us, who show their weaknesses and qualities, who welcome us whenever they have the opportunity.
Our daily life has many facets. We can start the day early to attend a scheduled surgery with one of our plastic surgeons. To be with a patient at that moment of nerves when entering the operating room. Later, we meet this patient in the clinic and follow his entire postoperative period, from the moment of doubt and insecurity until the moment of thanks for smiling when he sees himself in the mirror. We can also accompany our doctors on first appointments and follow-up consultations of the various specialties. From the follow-up in the aesthetic medicine consultation to the assistance during a procedure, being there to blink an eye and show tranquility when the fear looms. We also go through the screening and follow-up of the Smart Aging and Nutrition consultation, paying all the attention of the world at times when doubts arise and giving positive feedback to reward those striving to reach a goal.
Being a nurse is a rewarding profession, but being a nurse in this clinic is an honor. I think that’s why I smile every time I think of how lucky I am to be part of this exceptional team.
