Mastopexy or Breast Lift is the procedure used to redefine the position of the breast tissues in order to achieve breast rejuvenation that, over time, has fallen with the aging of the skin and mammary gland, causing breast ptosis or sagging breasts.
Mastopexy or Breast Lift can be performed with or without prostheses, and if a prosthesis is used, a breast augmentation will correct the position of the tissue and simultaneously increase the volume.
Thus, silicone prostheses may be used, only excess skin removed, or both, and the size of the mammary areolas is normal. During the consultation with the plastic surgeon all the details of the mastopexy and the various hypotheses are explained, using before and after images for the same procedure to understand what results are likely to be achieved.
