Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia and it consists of the excision of part of the vagina wall and direct closure of this defect with absorbable sutures, causing contraction of the vagina and reduction of its diameter.
Vaginal laxity may develop after childbirth or by simple aging leading to a clear decrease in sexual pleasure and may occasionally be associated with urinary incontinence or another pelvic floor dysfunction. The constriction or tightening of the vagina walls can be performed by surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Surgical Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure performed under general anesthesia and it consists of the excision of part of the vagina wall and direct closure of this defect with absorbable sutures, causing contraction of the vagina and reduction of its diameter. A pelvic muscle support can be performed simultaneously to improve complaints of incontinence. Postoperative rest and pain relievers are recommended as well as a reinforcement of intimate hygiene. After one week you can resume your daily activities, but with restriction of physical activity.
