Up Clinic launches a new Rapid Recovery protocol for Breast Augmentation to return to active life in a faster and more comfortable way with the inclusion of hyperbaric oxygen therapy through the Hyperbaric Chamber.
Breast augmentation, whether simple alone or with the removal of excess skin, causes distension in the skin, equivalent to the growth of belly skin during pregnancy, and in the case of breast augmentation surgery, it is immediate, instead of to last 9 months.
Additionally, in specific cases, submuscular placement of implants is absolutely indicated. Lifting the muscle traditionally causes discomfort of moderate intensity. In 2008, we developed a surgical technique for tissue detachment (soft touch), which allowed the release of muscle adhesions, leading to milder discomfort. Over the years, we have perfected several methods that facilitate surgical intervention.
The following stand out:
- Preoperative Physiotherapy
- Soft-Touch Surgery
- Intraoperative Intercostal Nerve Block
- Immediate stretches in the operating room
- Lymphatic Drainage 1st 24h
- Physiotherapy with Ultrasound, shock waves and Tecar radiofrequency (in specific cases)
- Oxygen therapy through Hyperbaric Chamber*
*Available in Lisbon
In hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment, the body is subjected to a concentration of 100% oxygen (in contrast to the 21% of the normal air we breathe), adding pressure of up to 3 Bars of pressure. This hyper-oxygenation of tissues optimizes healing, reduces complications, increases the effectiveness of medications and accelerates the return to active life for our patients.
The objective is for you to perform your mammoplasty comfortably, returning to active life as quickly as possible.
